Misheard lyrics

It looks like misheard lyrics are bigger on Gootube than all the shows combined (like Ask a Ninja). Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the humor – especially when it comes at the expense of Scandinavian metal bands!

Youtube censorship

GigaOM’s new site (that focuses solely on web video) reports that CBS and Youtube have been caught red-handed.
On any normal Gootube page, you see the video and then comments below it (if any). On CBS videos, however, you don’t get to see the comments. You only see the links to the pages where the [...]

Why Youtube ratings suck

There’s an intrinsic problem with the two types of “numeric” values that Gootube videos get.
There’s little need for an elaborate argument. Just check out the Most Viewed and Highest Rated pages. The most viewed video of all time is The Evolution of Dance which is OK but once you look at the rest of the [...]

Most viewed on Youtube

Another landmark in user-generated content hitting the ratings with confidence. Welcome the most viewed video on Gootube (AFAIK).

If you have trouble with Mark’s Scottish accent, I suggest [...]

Chad Vader – DIY Show

I love browsing Youtube for the DIY shows that surface there. A recent “phenomenon” is Chad Vader, a show about Darth’s younger brother. Obviously, Lucas hasn’t sued them yet!
I just saw this announcement from the creators, it provides a peek behind the scenes of a show like that.

It’s a relief to see that some of [...]

Youtube – DIY Shows

Most of the shows by Youtube directors are boring, I’d be the first one to admit it. I’ve watched the first episodes of Ask a Ninja last year and most of them were only mildly entertaining.
I recently came back and saw one of the new ones – Minjas. Actually, this show was kind of funny. [...]
